About Me
I've had a very interesting, often exciting life, and now I share it in my art forms of acting, writing and filmmaking. From being caught in a shark feeding frenzy to delivering a baby in an ambulance, I use those experiences to express aspects of living that others often never see.
Beginning on stage at age 9, then musicals and plays in high school and college, I currently act in film, television and commercials. I constantly improve myself with acting, screenwriting and film production classes at university and workshops.
It is not about fame or money for me, though it is nice to get some cash to reinvest in my career from time to time. I will do student projects and indie shorts for free on occasion to help them out. The art is what is most important.
What I Do
I love writing screenplays: features, shorts and microshorts. My characters and genres often challenge conventional thinking. I like to add surprises to most of my scripts to keep the audience guessing. Though I know they must be used, I don't care much for the Hollywood formulas where you can usually figure out what will happen from the beginning.
I'm starting to really enjoy filmmaking. Directing is a passion, especially using my own screenplay. I want to follow in the footsteps of Rodriguez and Tarantino, even a little Scorsese.
So far, acting is my bread and butter. I've been in over 40 projects in the last year or so, mostly as background on movies and television. These include 3 episodes of Apple TV's Brothers with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, Meemaw with Roseanne Barr and Randy Quaid, and an upcoming feature with Clint Eastwood's son! As a retired scientist, I don't need the income to live as many actors do. I reinvest my earnings into film equipment and training, always trying to better my crafts.
Journey
Though not listed here, I've done a lot of background acting on projects such as Brothers for Apple TV (3 episodes), Meemaw, feature films such as American Coyote, What Doesn't Break Me, Everywhere the Signs, The Right Side of Wrong, and many others. See my IMDB page for details.
